The Failed or Permanent Failure error means the patient had either:
- opted out of text messages by responding STOP, or
- Edit Patient - No Auto SMS messages box is checked
To opt the patient back into receiving Text Messages you can:
- Edit Patient - Uncheck the No Auto SMS messages and SAVE
- Patient can text START at a previous text message
Note: If the patient texted STOP to opt out of receiving messages, the No Auto SMS field will be checked and grayed out. This is by design to prevent offices and users from re-enrolling patients to receive texts from the office against their wishes. If the patient wishes to receive texts from the office through Denticon again, they will need to text START to the office's text number as described above.
