Overview
Referral Letter Automation is an Artemis AI feature in Denticon that generates fully formatted, editable referral letters — complete with relevant clinical images — in seconds. It eliminates the manual effort of drafting, attaching, and formatting referrals, so your team can complete case handoffs faster and with greater consistency.
This feature is available to all Denticon practices with Artemis AI enabled, starting June 5, 2026. No additional configuration is required to get started.
The problem it solves
Manually writing referral letters is time-consuming and prone to inconsistency. Staff must locate the correct patient records, select and attach the right images, and format the letter to meet the referring provider's expectations — a process that often leads to delays, missing attachments, and formatting errors that slow down case handoff.
How it works
Referral Letter Automation uses AI to read the patient's clinical context and generate a complete referral letter automatically. The letter is pre-formatted and ready to be sent, but remains fully editable so providers can review and personalize before delivery.
Open the referral workflow from the patient's treatment or chart view in Denticon.
2 - AI generates the letter.
Artemis AI analyzes the clinical notes, diagnosis, and treatment context to produce a formatted referral letter in seconds.
3 - Images are auto-attached.
Relevant radiographs and clinical images from the patient record are automatically included with the letter.
4 - Review, edit, and send.
Staff can make any final adjustments before sending the letter to the referring provider.
The generated letter can always be edited before sending. No AI-generated content is sent without your review.
