When capturing with the Planmeca 3D extension in XVCapture. We may encounter a "Unable to Process CT Volume" message that states "Please wait until the CT Volumizer has completed processing the CT Volumizer". This message is not an error, but rather an indication the .dcm file from the volumizer has not returned to XVCapture yet. On full scans (CBCTs), this can take upwards of 30 minutes to complete in some cases. Jaw scans (CTs) process within seconds. However, in some cases, this will persist indefinitely.

This article reviews how to address the message, if it persist indefinitely.
Process:
The following can be attempted if the message persists indefinitely:
Set the Planmeca's CT Compression to Uncompressed by performing the following:
Launch XVCapture
Navigate to Advanced User Tools > Preferences > Password: AKRON
Navigate to Imaging Extensions > Digital X-ray Image Capture > Planmeca 3D
Under Images and Image Handling > Image Compression, set CT Compression to Uncompressed
Update XVCapture to the most recent version (3.5.9+)
