Denticon's newest Insurance Payment Screen now includes options to apply write-offs and write-on's direct through the insurance payment process rather than having to go back to the ledger after applying the payment.
If your insurance payment screen doesn't look like this, or if your Transactions menu doesn't look like what is shown with the options for Insurance Payment - (Old) and Insurance Payment, please submit a support ticket to request the new insurance payment screen.
Once that has been enabled for you, before you can start using the new screen to enter the adjustments, you'll need to go to Setup>Account Info>Advanced tab to set your default adjustment codes for each adjustment type.
If this step is missed, you may encounter the following error message from Denticon:

Once the screen is enabled and your default adjustment codes are defined in the Account Setup, you can start entering adjustments against claim payments right from the Insurance Payment Screen.
Some folks refer to the transfer adjustment as the "Adjust On" for an insurance overpayment. The transfer adjustment is the adjustment that transfers the over payment to the patient's ledger from the insurance bucket. Adjust On (increasing production to absorb that overage) is applied after the transfer to increase provider production to absorb the extra in the case of contracted fees being higher than estimated. To apply the Adjust On, you need to indicate that the Contracted amount is more than the insurance estimate and that adjustment will then apply. Standard line item overpayments will still only show the Transfer Adjustment - Default is the ANISO - Auto Insurance Adjustment.
(Example of increasing the Contracted Fee to enable the Adjust On adjustment to apply after the transfer adjustment)
