Description:
This guide will show you how to use the password recovery tool for Denticon when you cannot directly sign in.
If you are a standard user, ask an Admin for help if you are unable to sign in after completing these steps.
For account admins, please submit a support ticket detailing the process you used to reset your account password for best assistance.
Steps:
All Denticon Users EXCEPT ADMINS:
If any user except an admin in your office is having issues with accessing their account, have them take the following steps:
- Access PlanetDDS.com
- Find the "I'm a Client" menu then select: Denticon Login.
- Select the option for "I can't access my account".
- Select "I don't know my password or my password has expired" then press "Next".
- Confirm that the username of the account in the field for "My Denticon username is" has the correct username and press Next when done.
- Select your preference of the following password reset methods and the complete their associated steps:
- Send an email to me at [your email on file].
- Use my Secret Question
- Send an email to my office manager at [account admin on file's email address]
- Once the steps for your above selection are completed, you should be able to enter a new password correctly twice. Below are a list of Password Validation Rules:
- Minimum 8 character required.
- Must not contain the username.
- Required 3 out of 4 from following:
- At least one character upper case required.
- At least one number required.
- At least one character lower case required.
- At least one special character required. Allowed special character ! ()@@#$%^&*.+=_|~~.
- Your password cannot be the same as the previous 5 passwords on the same username.
- Press Next when done to confirm the new password.
- If you cannot reset your password this way, ask an account admin (usually an office manager or regional manager) to reset your password for your account from their Denticon account via the Setup > Security > Users menu on the Login Info tab by pressing the Edit User button. They will need to click the "Change Password" link to make the changes for you.

Account Admin ONLY:
If the Denticon Admin is having issues with accessing their account, have them take the following steps:
- Access PlanetDDS.com
- Find the "I'm a Client" menu then select: Denticon Login.
- Select the option for "I can't access my account".
- Select "I don't know my password or my password has expired" then press "Next".
- Confirm that the username of the account in the field for "My Denticon username is" has the correct username and press Next when done.
- Select your preference of the following password reset methods and the complete their associated steps:
- Send an email to me at [your email on file].
- Use my Secret Question
- Send an email to my office manager at [account admin on file's email address]
- Once the steps for your above selection are completed, you should be able to enter a new password correctly twice.Below are a list of Password Validation Rules:

To avoid losing a password, be sure to have a secure location where all passwords are stored. Update your password every 6 months to avoid cybersecurity lapses and be sure that you are not sharing your account information with anyone else.
