Description:
The Time Clock Report in Denticon (Reports > Management Reports > Time Clock Report or Reports > Reports (Old) > Group Reports > Management Reports > Time Clock Report) lists on two decimal places after the ones-digit in Denticon. When you are adding the values in the Total Hours column, it may appear as though the values do not add to the amount in the Grand Total cell. This is because while all the Total Hours are calculated to the furthest digit possible ('absolute value'), they are only displayed with two decimal places. The Grand Total calculates a sum of the absolute values, not the rounded sums displayed. The Grand Total is then also rounded to two decimal places. This may result in a sum that does not seem to add correctly.
Best Practices:
If you require the absolute values of the hours worked for accounting, please use the Export To options at the top of the Report Viewer to export to a .XLSX format using the [X] icon. This can be viewed in a spreadsheet software (ex. Microsoft Excelâ„¢) to expand the decimal places show to review the absolute values without rounding.
Export To: [X] is pressed.
The newly downloaded report is clicked.
The Increase Decimal button is pressed in Excel with a Total Hours cell selected to see the full absolute value.
