Introduction:
This is a site feature you can request via a support ticket submitted to the Denticon Support Team.
Process description:
- Access the dropdown menu for Help > Get Help and select Submit a Ticket.
- Detail your PGID and request to have the feature External Outgoing Referral activated.
- Once an agent lets you know that your PGID has been activated for the feature, clear you cache and sign back in.
- You should now be able to attach Perio Charts, Progress Notes, Medical Alerts, and Referral Attachments to your External Outgoing Referrals only. [This feature is not available for internal referrals.]
Use Instructions (Post-Activation - External Outgoing Referrals Only):
- Please sign out, clear your cache, and sign back in to see the changes in permissions after activating. This should be available to anyone who could previously submit a referral.
- Access a test patient with at least one entry under Transactions > Treatment Plans and select an item for referral by checking the box on the left.
- Press Other Actions > Refer To and select an External Referral Provider by searching their name and double clicking their profile.
- This will allow you to attach Perio Charts, Progress Notes, Medical Alerts, and Referral Attachments to their referrals before sending the referral.

Gathering materials/resources:
On you support ticket please send the following:
- You best contact number
- Your role and relationship to the practice
- Detail the name and PGID of your practice group (found in the top of right of Denticon)
- Advise that you are requesting an activation for Referral Attachments.
Next steps:
If your account is activated and you still cannot attach Perio Charts, Progress Notes, Medical Alerts, and Referral Attachments to your External Outgoing Referrals, reply to your original ticket with screenshots of the issue you are encountering, including any error messages.
