Description:
The Print reports icon (dropdown menu) has an option to print treatment plans. This can be used to give patients a review of a specific course of treatment and associated costs.
Technical specifications:
This report calculates the UCR fee column not by reporting the exact value of the UCR fee each time but by comparing the UCR Fee Schedule (from Setup > Offices > Office Setup > Info Tab) and the Insurance Fee Schedule used for treatment and providing the higher of the two values.
Importantly, even if the fee is not paid for by Est Ins the Insurance Plan and/or Carrier's attached Fee Schedule can still change the overage fees charged to the patient. Check Setup > Fee Schedules > Fee Schedule Setup for the total the patient will be charged on Fee Schedules and Setup > Fee Schedules > Fee Schedule Assignment to learn which Fee Schedule a Plan/Carrier is attached to.
Examples:
- The UCR Fee Schedule values a treatment's cost at $30.00 and the Insurance Fee Schedule values the procedure at $34.00, the Insurance Fee Schedule is listed under the UCR column of the report.
- The UCR Fee Schedule values a treatment's cost at $38.00 and the Insurance Fee Schedule is valued at $34.00. The UCR Fee Schedule is listed under the UCR column of the report.

Best Practices:
Advise the patient if the UCR fee will be used to calculate their costs or if the Insurance Fee Schedule will apply. If "Fees to Print on Claims" is set to "Office UCR Fees" this will be the same value that is printed on the claims sent to insurance as the UCR fee as this field also selects the higher of the two values.
