The ability to use a fee schedule properly in Denticon involves two main processes:
- adding the fee schedule
- assigning the fee schedule
Denticon has a specific fee schedule assignment system that allows for the most precise fee calculation within the patient record. This system allows to associate (aka: assign) fee schedules specific to the dental organization’s applicable circumstances:
- office/location
- dentist provider
- insurance plan or carrier (dependent upon the type of insurance fee schedule)
The preciseness of fee schedule entry and assignment allows Denticon to have specific fees for one provider in one location that are automatically calculated based on the patient’s insurance circumstances when entering a treatment plan or posting procedures to the Ledger. The precise task can be overwhelming to users, especially those who migrate to Denticon from a less sophisticated practice management software.
When the correct fee schedule assignment is not done:
- patient fees may be incorrect
- estimated insurance amounts may be incorrect
- production and collection amounts may be incorrect
Via a Help Ticket, Denticon’s DPS (Denticon Practice Services) team is able to:
- receive the dental organization’s fee schedules along with the desired assignment information
- enter the submitted fees into the “Setup / Fee Schedules / Fee Schedule Setup” screen
- assign the fee schedule to the organization-designated location(s), provider(s), and plan(s) or carrier(s)
