Issue description:
A claim closed by an account called SUPPORT does not have a Claim Closed By entry on the Insurance Claim screen when the date is clicked in the Ledger.
Signs:
Claim Status column in the Insurance Claim does not have a Claim Closed By entry.
Steps that create this kind of claim:
- From the Utilities [menu], select the option Close Out Managed Care Claims.
- Select the name of the office.
- Enter the transaction date for the claim as the End Date.
- Select Close Claims.
- The claims closed by the tool will not have a Claim Closed By entry.
Best Practices:
If your practice wants to always have a username associated with a claim Claim Closed By entry, please be sure to close these claims individually. Once closed by the SUPPORT account, the claims cannot have a username added to this field.
