Introduction:
Visa and MasterCard requires each client merchant to complete an annual PCI questionnaire. This is required of all merchants that accept, process, transmit or store payment cards. Completing the questionnaire ensures that offices are following best practices when processing credit card payments. Clover is the PCI compliance enrollment portion of Denticon Pay.
Question 1: At what point in the Denticon Pay enrollment process would we complete this?
Answer:
The PCI compliance process is part of the onboarding process for Denticon Pay. Once Key Bank approves the office's application, you'll receive a welcome email including your merchant credentials, you'll receive an email from Clover Security as well. This email provides instructions to log in using your merchant credentials and complete the PCI compliance questionnaire.
Question 2: We already completed the survey during onboarding. How often will we need to submit this questionnaire?
Answer:
Once you complete the PCI questionnaire and receive confirmation of compliance, the email will detail when you need to revisit the portal to ensure your compliance remains valid. The frequency of updates varies; some offices are required to revalidate every six months, while others may only need to do so annually. Clover Security sets these intervals, there’s no universal rule.
Question 3: What happens if we do not complete the survey?
Answer:
If the office does not complete the survey by the designated due date, you may be charged additional fees for noncompliance.
