Description:
Currently there is no way to set the default scanner from Denticon, Denticon loads devices in order of detection from the local driver.
Compatibility:
In order for a scanner to appear for selection in Denticon, a TWAIN driver needs to first be installed. If a scanner is not appearing as available for selection, your IT will need to confirm that there is a TWAIN driver installed for the scanner and remove any old TWAIN drivers from the computer. Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners are not compatible with Denticon as there are no TWAIN drivers available for that series of scanners.
Best Practices:
- Office can change their computer settings to indicate a default printer:
- Select Start > Settings
- Go to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & Scanners > Select a Printer then select "Set as Default."
- If you don't see the Set as default option, the "Let Windows manage my default printer" option may be selected. You'll need to clear that selection before you can choose a default printer on your own
- The office may need to reach out to their IT team for assistance.
