Denticon now has the ability to integrate with Cloud 9. The integration between Denticon and Cloud9 will enable users of both systems to reduce the amount of data that must be re-entered from Denticon into Cloud9. Denticon will send basic patient and responsible party information to Cloud9 to simplify the new patient creation process.
The exported patient demographic details will include name, birthdate, gender, address, phone numbers, email address, and relationship to Responsible Party. The Responsible Party details will include name, birthdate, gender, address, phone numbers, and email addresses.
Denticon Setup
A new field labeled "Cloud 9 URL (If applicable)" is added to the Account Info page which can be accessed by going to Setup->Account Info->Advanced. This new field stores the URL for the customers Cloud9 account.
Cloud9 Setup
A new field is added to the Practice Information page that stores the Denticon PGID to connect to and from Cloud 9.
Denticon Patient Overview
Once the feature is enabled, a new button on Patient Overview will become visible. The button is labeled “Launch Cloud9”.
When the URLs are entered for both respective products, a user will be able to click the button. A new window will launch that will open the other product and execute a search for the selected patient. If that patient is found in the other product, then the patient information will be displayed automatically. Once a link is established between the products for the patient in view, the patient will automatically be brought up on subsequent launches.
On the first occurrence of launching the other product, it might be possible that there are multiple matches for the data that is being sent via the integration. When there are multiple matches, each product will show it’s respective ‘Search Patient’ result and the user must identify the appropriate selection. Once selected this will establish the link for this patient for any subsequent launches so that the patient information will display immediately.
Please Note: When a patient is launched from Denticon and a matching patient is not found in Cloud 9, Denticon will push patient and responsible party details from Denticon into Cloud 9. At this time, pushing demographic data will occur only when launching from Denticon.
Cloud9 Patient View
Once the feature is configured in Cloud 9, a new button will appear at the bottom of Edit Patient view allowing the user to connect the patient to a Denticon patient id.
Once the Cloud 9 patient has been successfully linked to the Denticon patient, the page will update and display additional information. The Denticon patient ID will display along with a quick launch button to open this patient in Denticon.
Please Note: The integration between Denticon and Cloud 9 requires that each respective application knows how to find the other application. It is important that at upon initial use, a user should start in only one application. Click the ‘Launch’ button in the current application to trigger the opening and log in method of the other application.
