Denticon considers that a deleted appointment is one which should never be recorded in the patient record. Therefore, when an appointment is deleted, there is absolutely no record of the occurrence.
Users should be very cautious and judicious when considering to delete an appointment. If an appointment should remain in the patient’s record, the appointment should be “cancelled,” not deleted.
In this situation, since the appointment should be for a different date than the original appointment date, the appointment should simply be moved through (1) reschedule, or (2) cut/paste.
To delete a posted appointment:
-
Double-click the appointment to open it, or right click to Edit the appointment
-
Click the Unpost button - Note: Unposting the appointment does not unpost the TX from the ledger
-
After the screen is refreshed, right-click the appointment and click the “Delete” selection
- Return to the Ledger
- Click on the date associated with each transaction
- Select Delete
- Repeat for each posted procedure that was posted from that appointment
