The implementation of restricted Internet Protocol address (IP addresses) prohibit the user to access all parts of the Denticon program for only the user's indicated IP addresses.
If the administrators wish to restrict users from accessing Denticon from only allowable IP addresses, they should consider restricting the allowable IP addresses:
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Security” and “Users” options from the drop-down box
- Select the desired user
- Click the Edit button
- Select the “Permitted IPs” tab
If only the office IP address should be valid for the user:
- Provide an identifying location in the “Description” field
- Click the Copy my current IP button
- The office’s IP address is indicated in the “From IP:” and “To IP:” fields
- Click the Add New IP Address Range button
- The IP address information appears in the top of the screen
- Click the Save button
If additional IP addresses (example: home access) should be valid for the user:
- Provide an identifying location in the “Description” field
- Manually enter the IP address into the “From IP:” and “To IP:” fields
- Click the Add New IP Address Range button
- The IP address information appears in the top of the screen
- Click the Save button
NOTE: If additional IP addresses are desired, the office will need to determine the applicable valid IP addresses on their own. Perhaps, consultation with a local IT professional should be sought. Denticon cannot provide IP address information to the office.
