Denticon does have an easy way to record insurance payments via credit card.
The payment type must first be set up:
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Payment Type” option from the drop-down box
- Click the Add New Type button
- Input a new, unique payment type
- Click the Save button
The “insurance credit card” payment type is available for selection when applying the insurance payment in the patient’s Transactions / Insurance Payment screen.
If the office is a financial account holder with TSYS / TransFirst credit card processing, the “insurance credit card” payment type will process within the office’s TSYS / TransFirst financial account.
If the office is a financial account holder with a different credit card processing company, the “insurance credit card” payment type will operate similar to patient-received credit card transactions.
