Have you ever caught a virus that couldn't be quarantined or installed a program that made your system unstable? Did you wish that you could bring it back to the way it was?
There is a way. It's called “system restore.”
Windows can automatically create a restore point when you install a Windows Update, or it can be done manually. You can then use this restore point and bring your computer back to a known good state.
Your data such as documents, pictures, mp3s will be preserved, but program files will be put back to the restore point. This system restore feature can assist you from revamping your computer, and from needing the assistance of an outside IT team.
For Windows 8
