The ability for the office account to offer and record discounts must be setup.
Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Account Info” option from the drop-down box.
There must be a maximum allowable percentage recorded, and a code indicated for usage when the discount is recorded.
On the patient’s Treatment Plan screen, the procedure must be marked for “Discount”
· click on the box on the left of the procedure to select the procedure
· click the Discount button
· indicate amount of discount
· the column indicated with the D in the header will show a D for procedures with discount applied
When the Treatment Plan is printed, the discounted procedure will be indicated by an asterisk (*) next to the fee.
The cumulative discount amount for the entire Treatment Plan will be indicated on the Treatment Plan report.
When the procedure is posted, the procedure’s full fee will be reported to the Ledger. An additional line indicating the discount amount will be entered, using the Procedure Code information that is provided in Setup / Account Info.
