Search Options
You can search for a patient using either of the following methods:
Option 1: Using the Patient Menu
- Click the word “Patient” in the top navigation bar.
- Select “Search Patient” from the drop-down menu.
- In the “Search Text” field, enter the appropriate information based on the “Search By” criteria.
- Click the Search button.
Option 2: Using the Toolbar
- On the toolbar, type the patient’s last name in the “Search Patient” field.
- Click Enter from the keyboard to initiate the search.
If you're having difficulty locating a patient in the system, follow these steps to ensure you're using the correct search criteria and settings.
Step 1: Use the Right Search Criteria
- Double-check spelling of the patient's name.
- Verify birthdates are entered correctly.
- Review any filters applied in the search.
- Ensure "All Offices" is selected if the patient does not appear in your initial search.
Step 2: Include Inactive Patients
Sometimes, patients may be marked as inactive. To include them in your search:
- From the Patient Search screen, check the box labeled “Include Inactive Patients.”
- Perform the search again.
Step 3: Reactivate a Patient (If Needed)
If you find the patient and need to reactivate them:
- Go to the Patient Overview screen.
- Click the Edit button in the Patient Information area.
- On the Edit Patient Information screen:
- Check the box next to “Active” to remove the inactive status.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
