Denticon usually discovers duplicate referrals because:
- office staff does not search the existing referral sources before adding a duplicate entry
- the referral source was input with an incorrect referral type associated to it; therefore the office staff is unable to easily locate the correct referral source when choosing the desired referral type
To delete a referral source:
- Click the word “Setup”
- Choose the “Referrals” and “Referrals” options from the drop-down list
- Select the name of the referral that is to be deleted; the name will be highlighted
- Click the Delete Referral button
NOTE: If a referral source is attached to a patient record, the referral deletion will not be allowed.
