Denticon has the ability to bridge to MD-Online for medical e-claims. MD-Online/Ability is the medical claims clearinghouse partner for Denticon dental offices.
There is no setup cost for the medical e-claims feature. Claims transmitted to MD-Online/Ability will incur a change of $12.95 per month, or $0.42 cents per claim, whichever is greater.
MD-Online/Ability requires a separate account for each dental office location.
In order to process medical e-claims from Denticon to MD-Online/Ability, there are a few steps involved:
- Via a Help Ticket, request the medical e-claims feature be activated for the dental office.
- Within the Ticket, please provide specifics:
- Office location name, exactly as it appears in the Denticon program
- Office location OID
- Office contact name
- Office contact phone number (and phone extension, if applicable)
- Contact email
- Denticon’s Secondary Support team arranges the setup with MD-Online.
- When received from MD-Online/Ability, Denticon provides the activation information to the dental office.
As a part of the MD-Online/Ability activation process, the MD-Online/Ability will reach out to the office to provide training and guidance about the medical e-claim process. Throughout the training, the MD-Online staff will provide information about how to navigate the office’s medical e-claim account within the MD-Online/Ability web portal.
If the medical insurance carrier within Denticon should need to be altered, the office is responsible for the task. The medical carriers’ Payer IDs may be edited within the “Setup / Insurance / Medical Carriers” screen. Medical Payer IDs may be located clicking the word “Help” in the word toolbar, and choosing the word “Medical Carrier PayerID List” option.
NOTE: If the medical insurance carrier indicates on the “Medical Carrier PayerID” screen that enrollment is required to submit claims, the dental office will need to submit the enrollment request to MD-Online.
NOTE: Offices should allow two (2) weeks for the application and activation process from MD-Online.
After submitting registration for our medical claims clearinghouse, Denticon will also need to be set up to start generating medical claims. The office will want to make sure Denticon is ready by setting up the following items.
1. CPT Codes
2. ICD Codes
3. Place of Service Codes
4. Type of Service Codes
5. CDT to ICD Cross-coder (If applicable)
6. CPT to ICD Cross-Coder
7. CDT to CPT Cross-Coder
8. Alternative code setup (Setting up CDT codes to bill medical insurance)
All of these items can be setup from the Setup>Procedure Codes Menu.
