This article will address what to do when you office receives a credit card payment from an insurance company, and it covers several patient claims. The batch insurance payment allows to pay insurance payments via a specific credit card:
- Batch Insurance Payment (Pays off claims)
- Batch Insurance Check to Prev. Balance
The single claim payment screen does allow for the payment of a single claim via a specific credit card.
For either payment screen, there must be a credit card payment type. The default within the program is “PMT INS – Ins Credit Card.” Some dental organizations may have different payment options. If a new payment type should need to be entered, it may be done so within the “Setup / Payment Types” screen.
