Sometimes, when we move a Patient to a new record in Denticon, this changes the patient's patient ID. Because the patient ID doesn't match any longer, the patient's x-rays will no longer be associated with that patient until we correct the existing x-rays with the current patient ID.
*Moving Patients - If patient is on their own Responsible Party and is moved to another Responsible Party, the record and history are moved under the new RPID and PATID is not changed.
If a patient is part of a family record and is moved, the patient record under the family file is inactivated and the patient ID will be changed for this patient. No history will be moved. - this is when this following process is needed.
1. After moving a patient, access XV Web. It should present you with the search features.
2. Clear the Patient ID field but leave the rest of the patient information in the remaining fields and select Search.
3. Select the View button next to the patient record that matches showing the old Patient ID.
4. Confirm that the images are correct and then select the Edit Patient icon within XV Web.
5. Update the Patient ID to match the new Patient ID within Denticon's info bar and select Confirm.
This will update the Patient ID for all of the patient's images effectively moving them to a new record that matches with the new Denticon Patient ID for this patient allowing you to bridge into view their x-rays under their new Denticon account.
