This article explains how to update the fee for an existing procedure code across fee schedules, and what to do if a fee is missing from a specific fee schedule.
Updating an Existing Fee for a Procedure Code
- Navigate to Setup > Procedure Codes > Procedure Codes.
- Select the procedure code you want to update.
- Open the Fee Schedule tab.
- Review the list of fee schedules where a fee is currently set for this procedure code.
- Select Edit Fee Schedule.
- Update the fee for the procedure code on each listed fee schedule, as needed.
- Save your changes.
Fee Schedule Not Showing?
If a fee was not previously entered for a specific fee schedule, that fee schedule will not appear in the list under the Fee Schedule tab.
To add the fee:
- Go to Setup > Fee Schedules > Fee Schedule Setup.
- Open the specific fee schedule that is missing the fee.
- Add the fee for the desired procedure code and save.
Once the fee has been assigned:
- The fee schedule will then appear under the Fee Schedule tab for that procedure code in
Setup > Procedure Codes > Procedure Codes.
Note:
- Only fee schedules with an existing fee for the procedure code will display in the Fee Schedule tab.
- New fees must be added directly within Fee Schedule Setup before they can be edited from the procedure code level.
