Generally, new prefixes should NOT be added during the final conversion. Retain ALL options, prefixes, paths, etc. used for the initial conversion. This page largely pertains to initial and full conversion.
Adding prefixes during the conversion process helps us differentiate newly captured or existing patients in Apteryx from converted patients. This is helpful during the data mapping process, and when investigating conversion-related issues.
Add a Prefix When
There is existing data in the client's site dash (more than a few images). This can be checked by going to the Sites Dash, selecting the correct Apteryx URL > Storage Used
The office is a multi-location practice. It's usually noted in the ticket notes/fields or in the subject of the ticket (or in the calendar appointment, for resellers) if the the practice has multiple locations. If you're unsure, check the Sites Dash > Edit Site Locations to see if there are multiple locations listed AND ask the IC to confirm as well.

This is a Denticon client. Check the "Client Type" field in the ticket. Denticon client tickets usually have a PGID/OID in front of their practice name in the subject, ex: 2938/100
Prefix should be the OID-imagingSystem-. In the example above, if they are conversion from Dexis, the prefix should be 100-Dexis-
The office has multiple imaging systems they are converting from. The prefix should be the imaging system and location name if it's a multi-site location (such as Dexis- or Townsville-Dexis-)
A prefix is generally not needed in situations outside of the above. If you're unsure if a prefix should be added or not, please reach out to the other techs in the internal Teams channel.
