Impressions scanners work like IO cameras, however they take multiple images of one area, and the capture software creates a 3D model in typically an STL file format. Apteryx products do not currently support direct capture with these devices, but may accept the output file (STL).
STL Files
STL files are 3D files generated by an impressions scanner, and accepted by Apteryx via direct import, or with XVCapture using STL importer extension. Manipulations on STL files are not currently available within Apteryx’s 3D viewer or other Apteryx products.
