As of Jan 2025, Implementations Coordinators will be enabling the below settings in Sites Dash for that customer after they have purchased AI from us. They will also assist in setting up the locations in Sites Dash. Beyond that, they send a macro informing the customer of the need to assign their Capture Stations at each location (bottom section, “Managing Capture Stations”) to the corresponding location in Apteryx, as well as simultaneously informing the AI Partner that they need to whitelist/enable the Apteryx Site’s Tenant ID on their side. Per Sayeed Yaqubi, our AI Partners are tasked with assisting our mutual customers with this component. Then, each location needs to select their corresponding location in Apteryx on each PC from the dropdown in the top-right of their Apteryx Page. That selection is saved in the browser going forward, and would need to be reselected if they use a different browser or clear their browser cache and/or cookies.
As a support technician, you are meant to support the process where things may have been missed, Capture Stations have been added, or Capture Stations have died and been replaced by new Capture Stations. In special situations for escalated clients, you may be asked to assist with this from scratch, but it you may also search Zendesk for tickets under the customer’s organization that include those macros for confirmation. The ticket subject should be “Thank You! Your Apteryx Apteryx Imaging has been Enabled for [AI Vendor Name] AI”.
The “Tenant ID” can be easily found by launching the Site Profile in Sites dash, then looking at the URL for the number between “Sites/” and “/Profile”. In the below screenshot of the CustomerCare Apteryx Profile page, the tenant ID is “2600”. You can reverse-engineer finding the customer’s Apteryx site if all you have is the Tenant ID by going to any site, then modifying the Tenant ID in the URL and hitting “Enter” on your keyboard.
To start, go to the Site Page for the Apteryx site, select Site Administration, then you will see the AI Vendors button. Select it to open the AI Vendors configuration page.
On this page, you will see a few things. What you want to pay attention to is:
Whether or not the site is currently on Site Scheme or Location Scheme. Whatever you see on the button implies that the opposite Scheme is currently selected, and clicking on that button will switch the Schemes. In the below screenshot, I see “Switch to Site Scheme” which means that the site is currently using the “Location Scheme.”
Which Locations have a Vendor Product Selected
Which Vendor Product is selected for the location you’re investigating
Which Modalities Sent are enabled
Whether or not the AI Overlays in Apteryx are set to True (enabled) or False (disabled)
Whether or not “Send New Requests” is True (enabled) or False (disabled)
To modify the Vendors on the Location page, you must select the checkbox next to the locations you would like to modify, then select “Change Vendors” at the top.
Different Configurations of AI Vendors (Effective 3/28/24)
Currently there are 4 different options for enabling AI. When you have finished making your selections, select confirm. Once the settings have all been confirmed, and images have started sending (you can take a test or simulator image on their site from an Assigned Capture station), you should see the AI Usage page on their Site page in Sites Dash where you can check on the status of the new AI requests being sent to the selected AI Vendor.
AI by Overjet - this option is for enabling the SENDING of images from Apteryx to Overjet and the RECEIVING of AI Findings to Apteryx. Above is the correct configuration.
AI by Mock - this option should be disregarded, as it was used by Engineering for testing purposes.
AI by Pearl - this option should be enabled with the same exact settings as the Overjet screenshot above. It enables the SENDING of images from Apteryx to Pearl and the RECEIVING of AI Findings Overlays from Pearl.
Overjet - this option is the only unique one. This option ONLY enables the SENDING of images to Overjet, and DOES NOT ALLOW Apteryx to RECEIVE AI Findings or Overlays back from Overjet. Below is the correct configuration for this.
