Currently it is not possible to remove the middle initial from the First Name field when bridging from SoftDent. The only workaround is to remove the middle initial from the Middle Initial field in SoftDent.

It is important to note that the Conversions team can update the First Name field in Apteryx to include the Middle Initial from SoftDent if the practice prefers that as opposed to having their staff manually remove the Middle Initial on patients in SoftDent as they go. They would need to provide a Master Patient Spreadsheet including the Middle Initial (and all other fields) for the Conversions Team to map with.
