Offices with 1 OpenDental Database with 2+ locations
Some offices setup OpenDental to have 1 database, but have several locations. Below are methods to circumvent this restriction.
Setup OpenDental with a button for each location to launch XVCapture. Each location would have access to all buttons, but only use one.
We install XVCapture on each PC at both locations, and configure OpenDental to point to that
IT can configure a vpn to use the main server's share of XVCapture/XV from the other locations (slowness/issues caused by this setup cannot be fixed by support)
OpenDental can setup 2 databases so that they can support each location launching their own software.
Setup local overrides per PC to launch their respective server's install
Apteryx Bridge
OpenDental has a guide on their site for setting up the Apteryx bridge from within OpenDental here:

Unknown Gender
Patients assigned "unknown" as gender within OD will be bridged as male by OpenDental if the Apteryx Program Link is used
