This article is for information purposes only. Any requests to set up 3rd party bridges, including eCW, should be directed to the PMS manufacturer.
Above is what the bridge settings look like within eCW. They have a place you should be able to pass Apteryx credentials from while also passing patient information. According to the article below, as of 1/2022 their support team was unable to support passing of credentials. I am unsure if this is still the case but will update this document if I learn differently. This bridge is supported by eCW support, this is just here for our awareness in case we need the info.
In the “URL” area, this is what eCW put in to bridge patient information properly: https://CUSTOMERURL.Apteryx.net/?patientid={PCONTNO}&lastname={PLNAME}&firstname={PFNAME}&gender={PSEXABBR}&birthdate={PDOB}
Remember the URL must match the customer’s URL, not what I placed here. This one is “customerurl.Apteryx.net” but you want to replace that part with the customer’s site. The important part is what happens after the Apteryx URL.
It also appears there are options within eCW to choose to launch Apteryx in an instanced version of Edge or Chrome separate from the one you launch on your desktop. There are settings in eCW to allow the user to save/modify settings in that instanced version of Chrome.
If the extension is clearing out every time they close/reopen that instanced version of Chrome/Edge they use, that is an environmental issue or related to the way eCW is launching Edge/Chrome. The below Chrome registry keys were created by a System Admin for another DSO - these may work, but they are not the responsibility of Apteryx to provide or fix. Use/share them at your own discretion. In my experience, I had to run both of the 64 bit keys, bridge, then manually turn on the extension from within the Chrome instance. Then, going forward, the extension remained active allowing the users to bridge from eCW > Apteryx in the instanced version of Chrome > XVCapture.
If our Apteryx Bridge extension is unable to be installed due to Chrome/Edge running Incognito/InPrivate, eCW will need to adjust their bridge to launch Apteryx in a regular (not private) browser.
