Integrate Apteryx

  1. Hover over your username, select Practice Settings, then choose Services at the bottom of the left-side menu.

  2. Click the teal link under the Options column to configure your Apteryx admin credentials, then hit Save.

Install CareStack Link

  1. Open any patient's clinical chart and select the Imaging tab above the care panel.

  2. Click the Download button.

  3. In the setup wizard, click Next until the final screen where you'll select Finish.

  4. Click Finish. Now that the link is installed, you will need to refresh your web browser.

Configure Imaging Settings

  1. Minimize your web browser and locate the XV Capture program on your desktop. Right-click the program icon, then select Properties from the drop-down menu.

  2. The program path in the Target field is usually automatically highlighted. Right-click it and copy the text.

  3. Go back to the imaging tab in CareStack, then click Configure.

  4. In the pop-up window, enter the following details:

    1. Select Apteryx for the "tool" you are configuring.

    2. Paste the program path into the appropriate field (remove any quotation symbols if there are any).

    3. Click the Add button.

  5. Refresh the page and test the integration to make sure it works: click Open Imaging Software and select Apteryx.

    1. If a dialog box asks about opening the program, select Always Allow.

    2. If XV Capture opens, then it is properly configured.

    3. If XV Capture does not open, then you may need to contact CareStack Support.

Additional Notes

Carestack will display ALL images for a patient within their i-frame regardless of if they are retaken or ghosted. For example, the screenshot below shows a series containing 7 images, however when viewed in Apteryx, this is a series with 1 original images in 6 retakes. This is normal behavior.
