Device Selection window hangs on “Please wait - Loading…” indefinitely
This occurs when the TWAIN plugin is installed, and one or more TWAIN sources are corrupt, installed incorrectly, or otherwise unable to be loaded.
To confirm if this is the case, copy Twacker or I-View over to the workstation, and attempt to select TWAIN sources - if Twacker or I-View hangs and goes into a non-responsive state, this confirms the issue stems from one or more of the current installed TWAINs on the workstation.
Resolution is to delete the offending TWAIN driver by deleting it from C:\Windows\twain_32 or by uninstalling it from Control Panel if able. The offending TWAIN driver can be located by cutting each TWAIN’s folder out of C:\Windows\twain_32 one-by-one and placing it in another location, then testing in Twacker or I-View again to see if it no longer goes non-responsive when selecting a source.
Once the problematic TWAIN has been deleted or uninstalled, and Twacker or I-View is able to “Select Sources” without going non-responsive, the issue will also be resolved within Apteryx Online Capture.
See Ticket: Enabling/Installing Apteryx Online Capture – Planet DDS – Zendesk for an example of this if needed.
