If the Apteryx Online Capture installer fails to install Apteryx Online Capture, cannot be downloaded, or is otherwise non-functional on a client’s workstation, the following steps can be used to “manually” install the program:

Install Apteryx Online Capture on your own workstation via customercare.Apteryx.net (skip this step if already installed and on latest version)
If your own install is outdated, update Apteryx Online Capture first using the steps here Updating Apteryx Online Capture - PlanetDDS - Internal Knowledge Base - Confluence
If your own install contains any failed forwards or local image files, be sure to remove them using the steps under https://planetdds.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DIKB/pages/4992467101/Forwarding+Database+and+Handling+Forwarding+Errors+in+Apteryx Online Capture#The-Forwarding-Database-shows-an-image-had-failed-to-forward%2C-but-you-were-able-to-verify-the-image-is-visible-in-Apteryx
Install all Device Plugins the client needs on your own workstation as well, uninstall all Device Plugins the client does not need
Copy C:\PlanetDDS from your workstation to the client's workstation
IMPORTANT: Navigate to C:\PlanetDDS\Apteryx Online Capture\AppCommonFiles\certs and permanently delete the customercare cert (.pfx) from this folder on the client's workstation
Download the client's cert from Sites Dash
Copy the downloaded cert to C:\PlanetDDS\Apteryx Online Capture\AppCommonFiles\certs on the client's workstation
refresh the Apteryx tab
NOTE: If after the above is done, Apteryx does not detect that Apteryx Online Capture is installed or the Ambassador cannot start, make sure Ambassador is not running in System Tray or Task Manager, then clear the browser's cache and cookies for Apteryx.net and refresh the page again.
