If a practice would like the patient’s last name, first name, and/or date of birth fields to be required in order for results to query, the following options can be selected under Username > Settings > Search Requirements:
These same settings can also be found and modified in Sites Dash, under “Edit Site Settings:”
These options are unchecked by default. If any combination of these settings are enabled, the user will be required to enter something into their respective fields in order for a search to be successful. For example, if Require First Name and Require Last Name are enabled, and I search by ID only, I get the following result:
If a user finds they are experiencing the above, disable the Search Requirements.
Additionally, having any of these options checked also causes the user to be unable to remove their respective fields by clicking the “X” next to the fields name (not the x within the field itself).
If a user finds they cannot remove the last name, first name, or date of birth fields, check to see if any search requirements are enabled - if so, they can be disabled in order to allow the user to remove said fields when performing a search.
