Command Line:
Outbound Emails
Emails that are sent from Apteryx will come from the office’s Apteryx address. e.g. customercare@Apteryx.net
If someone that receives that email replies to it, it will be sent to the email address associated with the ‘admin’ user of that site. For instance if dle@planetdds.com is the admin of demo.dentiray.net and someone replies to an email sent by demo@dentiray.net, it will reach the inbox of dle@planetdds.com
Email Security Information
If their receiving email provider uses TLS 1.1+ security features, our provider -SendGrid- will encrypt the outgoing email
Emails in Apteryx do not contain PHI unless the end-user explicitly types it into the subject line or the body of the email message. Images are not embedded directly into the email by Apteryx. The email includes a temporary download link to a password-encrypted zip file containing the selected images.

Apteryx Printing "X"s instead of the images
Try clearing the browser cache in IE and see if it resolves the issue.

Cache Issue with Apteryx
Clear browser cache.
Try checking "Remember Me" before logging in.
Saw this at Philadelphia Dept of Health (pdphdental). Bert believes it is caching related to their proxy server that is ultimately causing the issue on their system.
SQL Elastic Pool
When an Apteryx site is created it allocates a database to what's called a SQL elastic pool. A SQL pool can only have 500 databases allocated to it, so eventually it'll reach a cap and give an error like this. We have a few SQL elastic pools on azure and it's pretty easy to resolve, but It affects everyone, pdds users or external, when they create a new site.

Apteryx interop (Non-Denticon Bridge)
Sometimes you may experience an issue when trying to click the "Capture" button in Apteryx. If the Apteryx Chrome extension is already installed, and the local bridge service application is installed, and the Apteryx indicator circle is green, but XVCapture won't open on the local machine, try these steps below:
-
Check the registry and see if an Apteryx folder exists in this path:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Apteryx"
If the above path does not exist proceed to step 3, then check if the path exists now
Run XVCapture from the install location (can be local path or server path) once as Admin
If the registry path mentioned in step 1 now exists, try navigating back to Chrome, refreshing the page, and clicking "Capture" for a patient record. If XVCapture opens you're all set, if not proceed to step 5.
Uninstall the Apteryx Chrome extension and local bridge application
Navigate to "C:\ProgramData" and rename the existing Apteryx folder to "Apteryx.old"
Restart the computer
Re-open Apteryx and reinstall the Chrome extension and local bridge application
Run XVCapture from the install location once as Admin
Repeat these steps again starting at step 1
You should now be able to reopen Apteryx and click "Capture", and the XVCapture application should now open
