This guide is intended to outline the recommended user workflow for capturing images with Vatech brand sensors in Apteryx Online Capture. This guide does not apply to XVCapture.
- Plug in a Vatech brand sensor.
-
Launch Apteryx Online Capture by clicking the Capture icon to the left of the patient's name, or by clicking the Capture icon located in the right-hand toolbar if viewing a patient's images.
-
Select TWAIN - Intraoral USB Sensor from the Device Selection dropdown.
-
Select a tooth or multiple teeth if acquiring a single image, or a layout if acquiring multiple images. Scroll down to display additional layouts.
-
The first tile will automatically ready for acquisition, and the Vatech EzWatch interface will appear alongside two Vatech icons in the Task Bar, indicating Apteryx Online Capture is ready to accept an image. At this point, the user will be able to capture all needed images.
-
Once complete, double-click the EzWatch interface to close the TWAIN interface. Both Vatech icons in the Task Bar along with the EzWatch window should disappear. This step is crucial to allow Apteryx Online Capture to properly reconnect to and invoke the TWAIN interface for the next series of images needing to be taken.
-
Once closed, click Save and Go Back.
You will then be returned to the patient's Apteryx record, and the newly captured images will display.
