Introduction:
This FAQ will review the ways that Pre-Authorizations can be updated to show as Covered/Uncovered. If your question is not answered, please contact the Denticon Support Team.
Question 1: Where can I update a Pre-Authorization Claim's coverage status for previously submitted claims?
Answer:
You can update the coverage status with the following steps:
Search for the patient's record either through the Scheduler using the right-click "Go To" method or by accessing the patient search bar.
Once you have selected the correct patient, use the menu for Transactions to select the Pre-Authorization List.
Click on the Date to open the claim.
Select your desired status and press Save to confirm.
Question 2: Our patient has two insurances. When we change the status for one Pre-Authorization Claim, both of the Primary and Secondary Insurance Claims are update to the same status. Can this be changed?
Answer:
No, this cannot be changed. Denticon interprets Pre-Authorizations for all coverage as either Sent, Covered, Uncovered, or Unaccepted. If one of the Pre-Authorization claims is updated, all Pre-Authorizations claim across the patient account for the same procedures will be updated to share this status.
