Question 1: I have a patient who was sent an email to account that has an "@yahoo.com" address. Why are they receiving emails with broken hyperlinks?
Answer:
Denticon can email any address the patient desires; however, Yahoo.com breaks links sent by the Denticon Patient Messaging platform after receiving our messages. If you wish to ask the patient for another type of email address, the hyperlinks will be active. This is a Yahoo-email specific issue.
Question 2: What can patients who only have Yahoo email addresses do to use our links?
Answer:
In such a case where a patient does not have another kind of email that can be used to send the link, the patient should copy the link provided in the body of the message and paste it into Google Chrome's address bar. This will allow them to access the website link provided normally as all other patients can.
Question 3: Can Denticon fix this?
Answer:
Not at this time. As a result of this being an issue of Yahoo's platform, we are not able to correct the way that their platform receives messages from external sources. Until Yahoo fixes the way their servers receive emails, hyperlinks will continue to be broken by their system.
