Static IP Address: What is it?

A static IP address is one that doesn't change. It's like having a permanent home address. Every time you go online, your device keeps the same IP address. A dynamic IP address changes its location periodically, and can cause Cloud 9 not to recognize that it is you or your staff who are logging in and this can lead to issues in functionality.
Static IP Address: Why am I required to use a Static IP address during business hours?
You can think of a static IP address like a permanent name tag for your computer. When it's always the same, the web application knows it’s you trying to log in.
Using a static IP address helps with the following:
1. Security: The web app can block access from unknown locations. If your IP address changes often, it might look like someone else is trying to get in.
