I do not see the Create Task button when trying to add tasks for Patient AR Follow-Up. How can I fix this?

Introduction:
This guide is intended for users who have the permissions to access Task Manager to create tasks but cannot find how to do so for the Aging Report by Home Office.

Issue description:
Your account has permission to create tasks, like on the Outstanding Claims Report, but you cannot create a task on the Aging Report by Home Office page. If you are using this guide, your Group Membership (found within Setup > Security > Users) must contain a Group with the following permissions:

  • Utilities - Task Manager - Access
  • Utilities - Task Manager - Assign Task
  • Utilities - Task Manager - Change Action of Task
  • Utilities - Task Manager - Create Task
  • Utilities - Task Manager - Delete Task
  • Utilities - Task Manager - Supervisor User

Signs:
When accessing the menu for Reports > Monthly Reports, after selecting the Aging Report by Home Office, there is not a button to Create Task.

Basic troubleshooting steps:

  1. Access the menu for Reports > Monthly Reports.
  2. Select the Aging Report by Home Office.
  3. Check the Report Criteria section called Aging By and make sure Patient AR is selected.
  4. The Create Task button should appear now.

Diagnostic tools/resources:

  • Have an admin check Setup > Security > Users for the Group Membership tab to ensure that you have Group listed.
  • Setup > Security > Groups can be used by admin team members to check the permissions provided to users in a Group.
  • Check the menu for Utilities > Launch to see if Launch (Enhanced) Task Manager is active for you.

Best Practices:

Always start by switching the Aging Report by Home Office's criteria under Aging By to Patient AR when creating new tasks for team members to follow-up on.

Advanced troubleshooting steps:

  1. Access the menu for Reports > Monthly Reports.
    1. At the top of the screen in Denticon, select the Reports dropdown menu and select the option for Monthly Reports.
  2. Select the Aging Report by Home Office.
    1. On the left side of the screen, multiple options for reports are listed. We recommend using the Aging Report by Home Office to create tasks. Click the bubble to the left of the title to select it.
  3. Check the Report Criteria section called Aging By and make sure Patient AR is selected.
    1. On the left side of the report criteria under the Aging By header, there is an option to select a bubble for Patient AR. Click the bubble directly next to the text to select it.
  4. The Create Task button should appear now.
    1. Before pressing Create Task, make sure that all other necessary criteria have been added to Report Criteria screen so that tasks can be generated within the parameters that make sense for your team.

Visual Guide:

Access the menu for Reports > Monthly Reports.

Select the Aging Report by Home Office. Initially, the Create Task button appears to be missing.

Check the Report Criteria section called Aging By and make sure Patient AR is selected. When it is checked, the Create Task button appears.
