Via a Help Ticket, the dental office should contact Denticon to start the process. Denticon’s Support team will forward the Ticket to the office’s Account Manager. Once the Account Manager has received confirmation for the dental office to move forward , then the Account Manager will enable this feature for use.
Congratulations on your decision to use our 'Ortho Treatment Card' feature! This document provides the necessary steps for you to set up your organization to implement this feature.
NOTE: The dentist/administrator is responsible for implementing the function within the Denticon program.
1. Add or Link Ortho Patient
First, Click the word “Patient” from the Patient Menu and choose “Add or Link Ortho Patient” option from the drop-down menu to search and link an existing General Patient to the Ortho Patient.
If you’re unable to find an existing General Patient, or the General Patient doesn't exist, Create a New Ortho Patient
Three options:
(1) Click the word “Patient” and choose the “Add New Patient” option from the drop-down menu
(2) Click the Add New Patient (single person) icon in the picture toolbar
(3) Click the Add New Patient button (available only from the “Search Patient or Responsible Party” screen)
Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory fields.
OR
There is a checkbox at the top of the Add/Edit Patient screen. Place a checkmark in the checkbox and then click save. A 'Ortho' icon will appear by the patient’s name.
2. Indicate the Provider as an Ortho Provider
- Go to Setup->Providers->Provider Setup
- Find/Add a provider who will do ortho treatment
- Within the Provider “Info” Tab
- Click Edit Provider or Add Provider
- Place a checkmark in the field for “Is Ortho Provider”
- Click Save
3. Indicate a user an Ortho Assistant
- Go to Setup->Security->Users
- Find/Add a user that will be an ortho assistant
- Click Edit or Add New
- Within the “User Settings” tab
- Place a checkmark in the box for “Is Ortho Assistant”
- Click Save
4. Select the Ortho Code for posting
- Go to Setup->Account Info
- Click the Advanced Tab
- Click Edit
- Within the “Options” section, Select the “Ortho Visit Code” you want to use (you can use D8670A, or D8670 )
5. Add a new Ortho Appliance
- Go to Setup->Ortho Setup->Ortho Misc Setup
- Click on Appliances
- Click Edit
- At the bottom enter the name of a new appliance (you can add one called “Tongue Spurs” as an example)
- Check the box for “Add to all offices” click add
- Click save
6. Add new Ortho Questionnaire with at least one question (explore ortho questionnaires)
- Go to Setup->Ortho Setup-> Ortho Tx Questionnaire Setup
- Click add new template
- Name the template (it can be “Phase II Questionnaire”)
- Click add new question
- Enter a question
- Select an answer type
- Click Save (for the question)
- Click Save (for the questionnaire)
7. Indicate Office as an 'Ortho' office
- Go to Setup->Offices> Office Setup
- Select the Office
- Edit Office
- Click the Advanced Tab
- Place a check-mark in the 'Is Ortho Office' field
- Save
