There are two sections to consider regarding online patient registration:
- the globe/person/number icon (or word link "patient / online registered patients - New") in order to:
- access the full patient registration for a NEW patient (name, address, phone for patient and Responsible Party; plus insurance; plus medical history)
- activate the new patient record within the office’s patient database
- The tool bar icon for new patients looks like this
- the menu "patient / online registered patients - Existing" in order to:
- access the EXISTING patient's online update of the medical history; and potential update of the patient's demographics (name, address, phone)
- update the existing patient’s medical history and/or patient demographics based on the patient’s online update
- The tool bar icon for existing patients looks like this
NOTE: Within the word link “Help / Get Help,” the HTML code for the unique office location may be found. For multi-location practices, it is vitally important to ensure that the proper office’s specific HTML code is entered within the office’s website. If the wrong HTML code is implemented into an office’s patient form on a website (or the link provided via email), the patient’s information is likely to be in a different office’s database.
