Introduction:
When patients attempt to use links for Patient Registration attached to a new patient appointment that has passed, they will not be able to complete the registration process. Use the steps below to prevent this issue or remedy the mistake if it has already occurred.
Issue description:
When you sent a new patient a link to complete the New Patient Registration via the Scheduler appointment, they got an error message reading: "ERROR: Please Verify the URL in address bar. URL is not valid."
Signs:
- Patient's appointment on the scheduler is presently on a day in the past.
- The patient has not yet been added to the system with a patient ID.
- When the patient accesses the URL for patient registration, the link is grayed out.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Sign into the Denticon office the patient's appointment is located in and press Scheduler.
- Access the date on previous day for the appointment and drag/drop or right click the appointment to select Cut/Paste or Reschedule the appointment.
- The appointment must be moved to today or the future for the registration link to work.
- Once the appointment has been rescheduled, proceed to left click the appointment. Click either the text or email icon to generate a new link for the patient.
- Press Send in the new module that pops-up to make sure the message reaches the patient.
- Have the patient click the link in the new version of their message; they should be able to complete the registration as usual.

Avoid scheduling patients on days in the past or sending links from appointments that have already passed in the Scheduler.
