When you post an insurance payment for a date of service that occurred before the patient's annual benefits were last reset, the payment won't affect the patient's current annual maximum benefits.
Example 1: If the patient's benefits reset on January 1st, and you post an insurance payment for a service date in the previous year, Denticon won't subtract the payment amount from the current year's maximum benefits.
Example 2: If the patient's benefits reset on April 1st, and you post an insurance payment after the benefits are reset for a service date before April 1st, Denticon won't subtract the payment amount from the current year's maximum benefits.
