Description:
Denticon offers the ability to close out an office's account, thus locking all financial data before the date of the close out. If the office has not been closed out yet, the delete button will be available since the financial data for the office is not locked.
If the office has been closed out and the date of the payment is before the date of the last close out, the void button will appear since the financial data for the office is locked and the payment cannot be deleted.
Best Practices:
Pressing the void button will draw a line through the payment on the ledger, but the amount of the payment will still need to be adjusted off of the ledger with a positive collection adjustment since it would be adding to the patient balance available to collect against.
