Denticon has introduced an interactive report to streamline the process of verifying patients' insurance eligibility. The report will consolidate all patients needing eligibility verification into one screen that will enable the user to run an eligibility check, as well as update the patient's eligibility status. This report will include only patients whose eligibility is not verified for the appointment date selected.
How to Run the Interactive Eligibility Verification Report
- Go to Reports>Interactive Reports>Eligibility Verification.
- The report will populate with today's date but can be set to a future date.
Report Action Guide
- Click the i icon
next to a patient name to display a quick patient overview
- Click the globe next to the carrier's name
to launch the carrier website and verify eligibility through the carrier portal. (Office must have entered the carrier's website URL in the carrier setup)
- Click the view coverage details link
next to the subscriber's name to display the coverage details for the selected patient's insurance coverage (primary or secondary) including Subscriber information.
- Hover over the icon
next to Eligibility Status to view the note text that was updated by recent eligibility checks.
- Hover over the eye icon
next to ‘Last Check’ date/time to display the eligibility report for the selected patient. Using information from this report, the user can determine the appropriate corrective action.
- Click the check eligibility button
to run a real time eligibility check for the selected patient.
- Click the update status button
to update the eligibility status for the selected patient.
- The user will see the update coverage button
if the patient's insurance is expired or ineligible.
- Click the email/SMS icon
underneath a patient name to communicate with the patient. These buttons will be present when the selected patient has either an email address or cellphone number. Clicking either button will launch Two Way Communication page to verify if the office has the correct coverage information. The user can send a communication to the patient requesting an update via the online registration page.
- Click the filter
icon to filter the report by insurance carrier. The dropdown menu will only show insurance carriers that are already populating on this report, not all carriers entered into the system.
