When installing drivers for a Dexis Platinum and/or Dexis Titanium sensor, the GxPicture Suite is needed.
-
Go to www.dexis.com/en-us/download-center, search for GxPicture. Scroll down to GxPicture (Web Installer) on the computer that is going to be using a Gendex GXS700 or Dexis Titanium sensor to get the latest GXPicture Driver Suite. This will download to the “Downloads” folder.
2. Once the package is downloaded (It will be in the downloads folder on the local computer.), double click on the application. Go through the installation dialogue. Once it is installed, the KaVo Software Manager appears, it will start the installation. If not, under Add Features, download:
- IO Sensor Driver for Kavo IXS
- Legacy Driver for GXS700
- GX Picture

3. At this time, you don’t need to restart the computer. Select “No” when prompted to restart.

4. Last - install Gx Picture Filters. When prompted:
Select "Other Software with filters enabled".
When prompted to select devices, select GXS700/Dexis Platinum and/or KaVo IXS Titanium or both
Next, select the filters to enable/disable like Titanium and/or Platinum, click “Set”.
5. Correction files - For GXS700 Dexis Platinum only, don’t reboot when asked to. Leave the GX Picture open to that screen. Go to File Explorer and go to c:\program files (x86)\Dexis\Flashdir. Right click and copy that folder. Paste the folder into C:\Program files (x86)\Gendex. Rename the folder to “GXS700_CorrectionFiles”. If the FlashDir folder or GXS700_CorrectionFiles doesn't exist you will need to reach out to Kavo or find them on another computer. Kavo can be reached at 800-769-2909.
6. Reboot the computer with the GX Picture prompt to reboot. This applies folder permissions to the correction files folders. You may have to do this yourself by giving all users full access to that folder.
7. For the Dexis Titanium sensor, make sure the sensor is plugged in. The reboot process copies the sensor’s correction files over. A progress bar will appear on the screen while this is getting done.
8. After rebooting the computer, right click on the sensor icons in the system tray and select Image Settings. You will check the Optimizer option for optimal image quality. Do this for either sensor type. This is the only filter that is needed for these sensors. Make sure that this is enabled.
