When a fee schedule is entered and saved as one type but needs to be a different type, the only option is to re-enter the schedule as the correct type.
The programming in Denticon is specific regarding the schedule type for the way it will calculate in the patient charges.
Once the schedule has been input as the correct type, it is necessary to assign the fee schedule through the word “Setup” and the “Fee Schedules” and “Fee Schedule Assignments” options from the drop-down list.
Remember these key points regarding fee schedule types:
· “Office” schedules are attached only to a patient
· “Insurance – PPO” schedules are attached to a PPO carrier
· “Insurance – Managed Care” schedules are attached to a Managed Care or Medicaid plan
· “Insurance – Patient Co-Pay” schedules are attached to a Managed Care plan
· “Insurance – Smart Fee” schedules are attached to a Managed Care plan
Please consult the KnowledgeBase for more information on “Fee Types” to understand the schedule nuances.
