Description:
The Deposit Slip report can provide your practice with clarity regarding your offices' income for a given time range. We generally recommend running this report on a daily basis to track which forms of income and how much of it was logged by your team each day.
Report fields:
The Deposit Slip report has the following options to select when running the report:

Print Format

What format of file would you like to have the report generate as? You can select one of two format types:
PDF (default)
Excel

Office/Group

Which office locations should data be collected for? You can select one of two location filters:

Office (default)
Select specific locations from a list of all practices
Present OID only by default

Office Group
Select from assigned groups in Setup > Office Groups menu
ALL by default when selected

Provider/User

Which providers and Denticon users should be included in this report? Both filters are always used:

Providers
Select providers from a list of all available by pressing Select
ALL by default

Users
Select Denticon users from a list of all available by pressing Select
ALL by default

Date Range
-
When were the payments you are attempting to track posted? A Start Date and End Date are always required and are both set to today by default. You can select one of two date filters:

Transaction Date
This is the date listed in the Ledger. If the date was not edited at the time of posting, this usually reflects the real-time date the transaction was posted.

Payment Date
This is the date that a payment is applied for. This date can be edited after a transaction is posted to reflect if payments were back dated in the Ledger.

Payment Types

Which Payment Types should be included in the report? The payment type refers to the field selected when creating/editing a Payment Type the under Setup > Payment/Adjustment Types menu. You can select anywhere from one to all of the following types:
Cash (only option selected by default)
Check
Credit Card
CareCredit
Direct Deposit Internal
Financing
None (Payment Types with a blank field)

Check Type (Conditional)

Which Check Types are you looking for a report of? If checks are included in the Payment Types selections above, this option becomes available. You can select one of the following options:
Both (default)

Patient Checks
Ex. Checks posted via 'Transaction Entry'

Insurance Checks
Ex. Checks posted via 'Insurance Payment' screen

Group Batch Checks (Conditional)
-
Which format should Batch Checks be filtered by? Only available when the checkbox next to the field title is selected. You may select one of two options:
Batch ID(Batch Insurance Payment) [default]

Other Options

Which of the following options should the report be organized by? You may select one of the following three options:

Show Responsible Party (default)
This option shows payments by which responsible party/'family' the payment was made under. This options is great for communicating with collections cases.

Show Patient
Best for offices looking for individual patient account entries; this provides more specific Ledger data by which patient a payment was taken under. This option is great for family practices where postings one multiple patients accounts were previously confused.

None
This option leaves out patient names for solely financial data. This option is great for looking at income streams overall and making financial decisions for your team.

How to run the report:
Click the word “Reports” and choose the “Daily Reports” option from the drop-down box. Select the “Deposit Slip” option. Make your selects from the listed fields above. Click the Print/Preview button to view the report in a separate window.
