There is currently no way to link automatically an existing patient with online paperwork if they entered it as a new patient.
If the patient has an existing record and registers again as a new patient:
- Access the office’s listing of "online registered patients."
- Select the patient name.
- Click the "Print Registration" button to obtain a pdf file of the registration.
- Access the patient’s existing record
- Manually compare the patient's entered information with the Denticon record, and manually edit as necessary.
- If desired, the office is able to save the pdf file to the office’s computer hard-drive for uploading into the patient's Notes screen as a “Document (Upload).”
- Once the office has obtained the pdf file and manually edited the patient’s record, re-access the online registration list and click the "Delete Patient" button to delete only the online registration information from the list.
If the patient has an existing record and updated the current medical history:
- Click "Patient/ Online Registered Patients - Existing."
- Select the patient name.
- If the office desires to print a copy of the updated information for review and/or attachment to the patient's Notes section, click the "Print Registration" button first to obtain a pdf file of the registration.
- Go to the patient medical history.
- Click the "import online medical history" button which will update the patient's medical history.
